Is there a universal Spanish?

Do we have to translate every brochure into a different Spanish for every spanish speaking country? It depends whom the information is addressed to. If you wish to have a translation for the whole of the spanish speaking world, then the best is to have it done in accordance with the rules of the Real Academia de la Lengua Española because it is accepted all over the world. If the translation is addressed only to one country, then it should be translated by a native translator of that country and it should follow the rules of the local Academy of Language.
